We run 6-30 on our 1460 and even in 160 bu corn we can run about as fast as the corn head will feed it in so I think you would get by with an 8 row. One thing to consider is that a 1460 only holds 170 bushel and an 8 row head will fill it pretty fast in good corn so opening up feilds or picking long rows might be a challenge if you can't dump on the go. It only takes a few minutes to change an Axial flow from corn to beans so you could probably get by without a seperate combine for beans.
