Can I say tiller? We put our rows far enough apart to run a tiller through the center. It makes weeding the garden so much easier. We don't wear gloves either.
We water our flowers every night. Sometimes on the really hot days we water them in the morning and in the evening. It doesn't matter what they are or where they are, we water daily.
Oh my goodness... our neighbor just got new chick's. They are so cute. My wife and children are now begging me to get baby chick's. We already have chickens! Darn neighbors!
Hi! How about electric powered farm equipment? I've always wondered when that will be thought of. I'm not sure if people would buy into it, but I'd give it a shot.
You sound like my wife! She tells me that you never know when someone just goes in. Plus people gotta use the bathroom, right?
I think it's funny!
Enjoy your birthday party!
We have tried all kinds of different things on the grill. I would say the strangest was coconut. It was not very good.
We also do "banana boats, we add miniature marshmallows".
Anyone have any traditions for Memorial Day? We go to the local parade and honor those who have fallen protecting us. We also have a big neighborhood cookout.
I love every season for a different reason. We have 4 distinct different seasons here. I really don't have a favorite, they are all great. I do tire of winter and the snow.
One question that is always asked at our cookouts, how long can we leave the food out. This says 1 hour, makes sense. We use ice for all the cold foods.
Exactly! I won't either. We have been doing little things here and there for a couple of months. We keep our circle small. It feels so good to be able to get out of the house.
My wife does a great job inside and we both work outside. Our house is always clean and I don't know how she does it. We have beautiful flower gardens too. I'd like to get a fountain but right now we have a fish pond.
We have only planted potatoes a few times. Have you ever planted purple potatoes? They are full of nutrients. We planted some of those this year.
We always plant tomatoes and squash. They are our favorite two vegetables.
Nope, never had our cattle break through the fences. We have had a few near mishaps but we caught them.
It is alarming to be driving and seeing a cow in the road.
My son is turning 16 in a couple of weeks. He doesn't really have a "want" for his gift. I want to do something great because 16 is a big deal. Thoughts?
It has been very windy here too. Thankfully our crop isn't out of the ground yet to have damage. If it keeps happening I would put up a tarp. It doesn't have to stay up long term if you don't have that issue often.
Was there some sort of food around the flowers? I had this problem a few years ago when I had birdseed close to the flowers. The raccoons dug through the flowers trying to get the suet and seed.
I think the problem is that people fight them to give up their land for these big parks. I would not give up my farmland for a park.
I do like that this is being looked at.
Yeah, this happens. I mean, we all get kind of crazy from time to time, don't we? The cows were probably getting a little stir crazy is all. I bet they are out in the fields now.
They are doing really good so far. We can't wait to get them outside! It's going to be a gorgeous week but the evenings are still dropping into the 20s. I can't wait for gorgeous weather all the time.
