    Contactless payments

What a great idea! We don't have a business like this but if we did I would definitely go contactless. It seems to be the new normal now. What are you thinking about installing?

    Geese

I think you made the right decision! Geese are a pain in the butt. My neighbor has them and they are constantly bothering me. They are loud and messy. I would never get any geese.

Irritated with some small equipment (tools)

Yeah they get you on that. If you buy the combo packs, a battery usually comes with it. If you buy individual tools, it usually doesn't. I think it is crazy! You have to be careful too because the rechargeable batteries aren't interchangeable between brands.

    Question about COVID-19 spread

I don't know but I wish I did! There just isn't enough information on this because it's so new. I had COVID-19 a month ago. I'm still super careful because I'm not sure I believe that you can't get it again.

    600 or 2000

The Senate Republicans want to be sure that the people that need the help are getting it, not people who don't need it. I understand where they are coming from, after all our grandkids will be paying these bailouts back. I wish there was a way that you could prove that you were directly...

    Throttle broke

Well what did you find out? Replacing the throttle cable is a job you can do but it's a pain (tight spaces). I hope it just came undone on you. I would have towed it, or pushed it with my tractor.

Recipes What to do with ham and turkey

My wife makes a mean macaroni and cheese (with ham). She also makes a great ham soup (broth, vegetables, ham and noodles). She makes these every time we have leftovers. She freezes both too so we can have either whenever we want.

    How much did you invest

When you first bought livestock for your farm, how much money did you invest? If you were going to expand what do you think would be a good amount of money to have up front?

    What comes first?

When I took over the farm there was already barns, a water source and fences. I planted my crops first though. I made sure the fields were set for grazing. I then bought cattle. I'm learning about other animals now, soon will invest in more.

    I'm bored!

We go on drives often. We have also been hiking at parks, outside and good for the body and mind. We also play a lot of games. We try to mix things up so we don't get bored.

    Would You Join a Union?

I know of no unions in farming near me. I did join a union years ago (before I was sure about farming). It was a carpenters union, it was good. I would join a union again if I wasn't farming.

    Best Christmas gift this year

That sounds really nice, homemade gifts are great. They are always my favorite too. My children made me a new picture board loaded with family pictures. They used an old pallet to put the pictures on.

    Freeze dried vegetables

Has anyone ever tried to freeze dry your garden vegetables? We had a lot of leftover corn (we didn't sell) and my wife froze it. I've heard that people actually freeze dry corn. I know nothing of this, anyone know anything?

    Coyotes are still howling

It sure is eerie isn't it? I always take a gun outside with me at night. I just don't want to be caught off guard with them. We have not had any problems in a few years. We lost a couple of barn cats a few years ago.

    Uptick in charitable requests

@ Petal - the hospitals in our area that asked for donations from our farm are all Not-for-profit hospitals. They take any patient with or without insurance. They always are looking for donations.

    AG Christmas Displays

I love the metal animals too! I thought they were great. I love looking at Christmas lights and these ones made me laugh. Thanks for sharing this. I have to show my wife later.

    Adapting U-pick Operation

These are great tips. I wouldn't have thought about the Over 65 crowd. A lot of stores are doing special hours first thing in the morning. I wonder how busy you will be come next season? I know we went to several U-pick places (apple, strawberry, and pumpkin).

    Getting ink off walls

Oh no! My wife uses those Magic Erasers too. I've seen her get some pretty bad marks off the walls and the floors. It seems like our floors get those ugly black marks from our boots (probably mine),and the eraser cleans them up.

    Wreaths

@ More Green, that's awesome! I could see that here at our farm. Was it at a farm? How exciting to be doing something new with your daughter. It's something she won't forget. Do you think you'll start selling these every year?

    Uptick in charitable requests

Wow, that's great that you donate. Are these things that you grow at your farm? I would say that how much you donate depends on what you can or are willing to.
