I took my family to a Christmas celebration in our small town last night. I was amazed at all of the ice sculptures they had. There were at least 10 and they were gorgeous! I can't even imagine the amount of time these took to carve. Anyone ever made an ice sculpture?

That's a great idea but like Susanna said, it would be full of pathogens. I mean it could be purified I'm sure. I agree that a lot of the water would be on properties that are privately owned.

Keeping accurate maintenance logs is very important to me. You have to know what's going on with the equipment, really with every aspect of the farm. I've got an excellent record keeper (my wife).

Absolutely! The Amish gardens always look amazing! We have bought many perrineals from them. They grow beautifully the first year and multiply in years after. My wife and her best friend make a day of it every year. They come back with a truckload of flowers!

My neighbor plants clover as a cover crop. He tells me it helps with weed control and that means he doesn't need to use herbicides. I'm going to do it next year. It's too busy this time of year for me to start.

Absolutely! We are also buying more beef cows and a couple of pigs too. I only wish we could make toilet paper and hand sanitizer! We are going to try to grow or raise what we need next season.

I noticed that last season we had a lot more weeds in our garden. Anyone notice this? How are you getting rid of your weeds? We spent numerous hours on our hands and knees pulling them out.
