I think that would be a great tool. You could see the crops daily. I know for some farmers their fields are large and they don't get to check on each crop as often as they would like to.
It wasn't anything too bad. He is already walking a lot better. The vet thinks he stepped on something wrong and might have hurt his hoof. It was kind of icy outside in spots on the ground.
Our vet is great too. Our first vet wasn't quite so great so we switched. We can call him whenever it is needed and if he doesn't answer he always gets right back to us (for an emergency). It's super important to have the right vet.
That is great news! I've had some more interest. I'm thinking of raising my prices too, you know supply and demand. On average how many do you sell each year?
I have to call our vet tomorrow. One of our cows looks like they are walking with a little limp. I am not sure if it is his leg or hoof. Hopefully it's something that isn't too serious.
Wow, the Bills game was close. First playoff win for them in 25 years! I feel bad for Washington, Smith is out. Their quarterback is someone who was taking online classes and playing Madden 6 weeks ago.
Here we go Steelers!!
Blue cheese and crumble blue cheese! Another question, what do you use to dip? Celery, tortilla chips, corn chips? We use all three of the above! Chicken wing dip is a football favorite at our house.
I'll have to try Cattlemen's BBQ. I seriously have tried so many different ones too. I'm going to ask the bar what they use, their sweet and sour is the best! I wonder if they will tell me. Thanks for the recommendation.
Great question! We did a lot of things differently. I think the thing we found that saved us was buying feed ahead of time and in a bigger quantity. We did purchase more cattle too so that we could sell more.
Coyotes are terrifying for sure! I make sure our cat and smaller dog are inside when it's dark.
Anyone ever seen one in the daytime? Do they come out then or just at night?
We don't plant soy beans. I don't like them and we tend to only plant foods we will eat (in our garden). We do plant green and yellow beans.
Question, where do garbanzo beans come from?
We have been using our air fryer more often and one of our favorites is chicken wings. The wings come out beautifully but we have not mastered a sauce yet. I like spicy, the children and wife like sweet. What do you use? Do you make it, if so share the recipe? Do you buy something from the store?
I love the way you are thinking - steak for Christmas eve. We have ham on Christmas day and usually lasagna on Christmas eve.
As far as the cut, we like NY strip steak.
The social connection is probably my biggest issue (besides sickness and dying). I miss seeing people. I see my coworkers but not my friends. I miss them horribly. I miss doing things, I miss just having coffee with friends. I miss seeing my grandparents because I am staying away to not get them...
I'm pretty new to this. If it's true what Susanna said about not blooming again, I would not do it either. We only sell flowers at our stand in the summer and fall.
Thanks for that information! We are actually looking for something new to put in the barn. I won't be buying either of those.
We are probably just going to make our own and not buy one. I'm going to start looking for plans.
My kids need new boots and I want to buy them Muck boots. I haven't found a warmer, more comfortable pair yet. They are kind of expensive though for just 1 year of wearing (I'm sure they will outgrow them). What are your thoughts?
We have also been asked by a lot of local organizations for donations. I'm not sure why they think we had a bang up year but we try to donate as much as we can.
I'm sure it will be out there for people who want to see it. I don't know what is in the flu vaccine but I still get it. I guess I figure it's approved by the FDA so it should be good. I won't be first in line to get it though.
Well we finally are cutting down our corn for the season. We had some problems with our equipment and then a couple of our men got sick. I'm not really sure what we are going to do with it being so late, but it's coming down.
