I just looked it up too. I'm going to download it on their tablets. My children love playing games so it makes me happy that the game is a farming game. Let us know what your children think of it.
My whole family woke up yesterday feeling like crud! We are all fighting sinus headaches! I sure hope it's the change in weather! Anyone else feeling it?
What do you own? Do you have outside customers? I would think if you are making people wear mask, have sanitizer at the door and sanitizing your shop often you would be okay to stay open. I mean, I would wait until they tell you to close.
Keeping detailed maintenance logs on my equipment is tops for me too. It's just like keeping detailed information on my truck, car, ATV, furnace, etc.. How will you know when it needs maintenance if you aren't tracking it?
I have some tools from Harbor Freight (father in law bought for me). They are alright. I prefer to stick with Dewalt, much better quality. I don't like to buy tools that only last a short time.
I told him last night that he could. We are just going to do a few to start. Certainly hope that he spends a lot of time and doesn't bore of them. It would be great to have another farmer in the family.
Yep, we buy from the Amish farms around here too. Actually I'm not sure if they are Amish or Mennonite. The vegetable plants always do great in our garden. We just started buying flowers, so far so good.
We bought a huge air fryer a couple weeks ago. We are still playing around with new foods in there. Anyone made anything with shrimp? Thinking about just putting some garlic on it and then tossing in parietal cheese after its done. Thoughts?
Wait what? Craftsman isn't covered for a lifetime anymore? Lowe's sells the brand now. I know it was always hand tools and not power tools. I think Mac warranties for the life of the buyer too.
I think that is a great idea if you have the room. So you will let people come to the farm and work in this garden? I don't think there are many shared gardens around me, many more in the bigger cities.
It's certainly a tradition in our house too, it's been for years. I know a lot of people stopped watching football this year because of politics. I am still watching though. Growing up we played football in our yards too.
My nephew has asked if he can get some chickens and keep them at the farm. Wonder if he will come and take care of them. Also think it would be a great way to get him more interested in farming.
Oh no! We had this problem once but the exterminator fixed the problem. Did he spray outside too? A lot of times you carry them in from outside and then they breed again!
We use cast iron pans too and we love them. They are pretty resilient. I'm glad you were able to clean them. Hope you seasoned them again too. So many people don't season them properly and wonder why they aren't lasting.
We are proactive and do it ahead of time. I actually have a plow for my truck (Ford) and for our International tractor. We even have one for our ATV but I don't put that one on unless absolutely necessary.
I would get rid of the whole bale of straw too. I wouldn't just toss a little. I hope you did not find a bigger problem. You have to figure a way out to keep it dry, even living in Florida.
We till before we plant. I've seen other farmers plow after they take their crop out of the ground. I do think it helps move the nutrients around in the soil. I'm not sure if it is better to do after or before.
Anyone hunt deer? How about other animals? Do you eat what you kill? We turkey and deer hunt here. We like to use the deer meat to offset beef. We make sausage, burger, dogs and sticks with deer.
My wife and my daughter were very successful in canning. They made soups, soup stock and vegetables. They even canned fruits in natural juices. We are going to harvest deer hopefully this weekend.
