    Capitalizing on Beef Fear

Beef isn't being banned. It was just a rumor that made the rounds. Unfortunately, it was stated as a true thing on Fox, but they retracted it the next day. Mistakes happen. You guys are so right that my idea wouldn't go over well. I wasn't thinking about the customers and the after effects...

    Too Many People?

Having fewer people in the world would help the environment, so you might be onto something. Several countries have been at war for years and others have become destabilized thanks to coups and foreign interference. Surely those issues play a role too, if we're talking about food instability...

Going to a game - in person!

I still have a hard time being around crowds of people. The pandemic caused a lot of anxiety that's hard to shake off. I'm glad you were able to get the tickets you wanted @Farmallh.

    Who Should Host Jeopardy?

I think LeVar Burton should become the permanent host. He strikes the perfect balance between being witty and charismatic but also serious and intelligent. He is a fan favorite right now.

    Lower Lumber Price?

When do you all think the price of lumber will go down? I bought some wood yesterday to make a flower bed and couldn't believe how expensive it was to get the lumber. I'm guessing it went up because of the pandemic. Do you think prices will fall soon since the vaccine is here? I was going to...

    Before Pesticides

The Native Americans relied on companion planting for the most part. Their agriculture practices were vastly different from the monoculture fields we see today. There wasn't a need for so many pesticides If a bug got to the tomatoes, it probably wouldn't be interested in the cabbage. If it...

    Killing Weeds With Lasers

Maybe something like that could help our pollinator population? That would be nice. I bet it will be super pricey though. Then again, imagine the time you'd save. It could even out once you factor in labor.

    Capitalizing on Beef Fear

There's some misinformation floating around that Biden is going to ban beef. It's not true, but some folks are absolutely freaking out over it. Do you think beef prices will skyrocket because of that? If I had beef cattle, I'd be tempted to run with it. "Buy my cow for a zillion bucks before...

    Compost Accelerant?

I appreciate the info guys! I ordered a package of compost starter, which will hopefully do the trick. I also ordered some lime. @MichaelS, I hope it works out for you! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has a compost pile that's not living up to its name.

    Life Span of Riding Mower

I wondered whether I'd have more luck if I spent more or if I should start treating them as short-lived products that would need replaced every couple of years. I just didn't want to chase after a good mower if it doesn't actually exist, since so many products have been downgraded these days...

International Harvester my modified combine harvesters

I can tell you put a lot of work into your YouTube channel. I watched a few of your videos and enjoyed seeing how it's done in a different part of the world. One thing that's universal among all our cultures is that farmers are an innovative bunch.

    Compost Accelerant?

@RichZ, really? Everything I've read about composting, says not to add manure, meat, or bones because of parasites, bacteria, and other diseases. Plus those things attract rats. I don't have livestock, so maybe it's more common to add manure than I realize. Do you know about how long it...

    Compost Accelerant?

Have you guys ever used anything to accelerate the breakdown of your compost pile? I have mine at the correct temperature and moisture level, but it sure is taking ages to "finish cooking".

    Heated bed for outdoor cats

I bought one of those expensive heated beds last year that is made by K & H. It's nowhere near as warm as a regular heating pad. This next winter I'm planning to replace it with a heating pad that doesn't shut off.

    Life Span of Riding Mower

I seem to have rotten luck when it comes to the longevity of these machines. Despite keeping up with their basic maintenance, I've had a Craftsman with annoying issues after just three years of use and a Murray that completely tapped out after two. In your experience, about how long should the...

    Ax throwing

As a supporter of equality, I think we gals should get involved. I can't throw worth a hoot, but it sure sounds like a fun sport. It sounds much more interesting than rhythmic gymnastics. I'm watching a YouTube video of ax throwing and I'm fascinated.

    Cat Dramatics

@RichZ, I am jealous! Mine promptly starts demanding food at 6:00 a.m. They have a full bowl of dry kibble that's available, but no, they MUST have wet food. Now! They will starve to death otherwise.

    Cash crops in the PNW?

Are you in Oregon? If so, I would think pot and hemp were two big commercial crops that you could start with. Maybe the market is too tight already for that though.
