Now that's it is slowing down a bit here on the farm, we are looking into going to some trade shows. I'm not sure what or how many there are with this pandemic going on. What shows have you gone to in the past?
I love getting gifts that people make so this year I'm going to try to make gifts too. Anyone making gifts and if so, what are you making? I'm thinking quilts, homemade picture frames with pictures and those jars filled with the fillings for soups.
I bet it was the pandemic that made it a slow year. We were thinking of selling some this season. I would hope that this next season is better! I hope you have a great season next spring and summer.
We bought some tools from Harbor Freight for my brother in law. He said they were fine. We bought them last year. They are still holding up well. I would say if you plan on using the tools all the time, I would buy a better brand.
I just returned some Craftsman tools Wednesday at Lowe's. I wasn't sure if they would take them because I bought them at Sears years ago. They are still my first choice.
I'm a huge shopper! I love this time of year. I buy all kinds of things (not just presents). Anyone else make a list throughout the year and catch the sales now? I was disappointed in Walmart today. They didn't have near as many sales as they normally do.
I have used a Garmin, Apple, Fitbit and now a Galaxy. You should look now though because of the Black Friday sales! I picked up one for my daughter this morning (Fitbit).
It is fun! You should try it. I've seen this Circle 8 workout too and that looks fun! I mean if you like dancing, these are the way to go. I've noticed a huge change in my energy level just from doing these Beachbody workouts.
If you have the extra room have you ever thought about having a community garden? We thought about this, teaching littles in our neighborhood how to grow food. We aren't sure we are going to but we are thinking about it.
My dad was the same, but I watched it with him. It wasn't just a guy thing. We actually always played a game in the backyard too (with extended family). This year was pretty low-key.
I thought they did it well. I mean, who wants to go to NYC right now? That's Covid central. I really thought it was good. We watched it as a family and enjoyed it. It's the kickoff of Christmas!
They would have already froze here. We empty our outside decorative ponds. We then cover them with plastic. I would check with a local pet store. They should know more.
Wait? You can plant the flowers in their pots? Wouldn't you need the roots to grow into the ground? I hope they come back next year for you. Are you just planting a few this year to see if they come back?
Cold winter blues for sure! I'm not ready for the cold but I am ready for the holidays. I'm fighting the blues by getting things around for the holidays. I am also volunteering more this year.
Yes! It's been an awful 2020 so we decided to decorate earlier than normal too. We are getting our tree on Friday. I can't wait! We did start decorating the outside. We got our lights all up.
Getting more chickens is a great idea! Yes, we too are expanding our gardens. I didn't think about extra chickens but now I will. More chickens equals more eggs and meat.
In our vegetable garden we make sure we put the rows far enough apart to get a rototiller between them. We run that and go behind it and grab the weeds it loosens up.
I do Beachbody workouts. I love them! It's literally around 100 bucks a year and you get hundreds of videos! Plus they give meal plan ideas. You should check it out.
