    Farmer's market in the park

Every Wednesday in the spring and summer there is a market in our local park. I went this week and I was surprised to see "local grown veggies". I was surprised because there isn't any way that anyone has these available yet from their gardens. People were waiting in line to buy them. City folk...

    Best weed whacker

Of course my weed whacker quit this past weekend. I think this one was my dads, I've had it that long. So I'm going to need to get one. Recommendations? It's got to be gas powered, no electric or battery ones.

    First year for Orioles

I'm so excited! We have orioles! It's the first time I can remember getting them here at the farm. The children put a plate of grape jelly out for them. I love that the kids are into the birds this year.

I like spicy, the children and wife like sweet. What do you use? Do you make it, if so share the recipe? Do you buy something from the store?

    Anything better than Muck?

My kids need new boots and I want to buy them Muck boots. I haven't found a warmer, more comfortable pair yet. They are kind of expensive though for just 1 year of wearing (I'm sure they will outgrow them). What are your thoughts?

    Finally cutting down

Well we finally are cutting down our corn for the season. We had some problems with our equipment and then a couple of our men got sick. I'm not really sure what we are going to do with it being so late, but it's coming down.
