Yes, CaseIH has a float bar that mounts under the header just below the cutting bar. This bar through means of a cable hooks to a potentionmeter(spIJ) which works with you combines auto header height operation.
You have to be kidding....that must be the best kept secret around. Do you have any more info on itIJ Are you sure it is CaseIHIJ Any idea how much it costsIJ
last I knew there was an auto header kit available for 1010 header. Since I no longer run 1010, I don't have a parts book on it. I do have an auto header_field tracker kit on my 1083 cornhead though. I think it cost in the neighborhood of 500.00 US new in 96. If worst comes to worst, it could be adapted for a 1010 I think.
You can put the AHHC and field tracker kit on a 1010. I have it on mine. Don't really utilize the AHHC that much, but the auto field tracker is really nice. The pots mount to the skid plates under the head and the sensor rods extend thru holes that you have to cut in the skid plates. Mounted the AHHC off center to clear the feeder house. There is a kit to mount a sensor tube to a 1010 much like a 1020 is. Would also investigate the possiblity of coverting the cable over to the new mechanical kit.
