this is my first year with a 10 10 on a 1688 so far good just make sure your auger is center were needed and that your fingers are working proper. as far as the real going for and aft I found little use for it in spring wheat in my conditions semi dwarf dry contions dryland 45 to 75 bu. you might find need for your condiotions need to change you could probable tee off the reel lift with a n elitric switch so save you some pluming and $ the auto header height I would like I think never dried one yet I do have just the dummy spring mechanical height in the corner I really like that for combing in dark or poor visibility I don; t know coast but should be cheap
