Combines 1015 pickup header

The problem you are talking about is often caused by a chaff spreader feeding off the same hyd. system as you'r pickup .If you have a chaff spreader start with it feeding of a different hyd. system . Please staight if this fixes the problem.

Rotor, Ahh you are very wise! Yes, the chaff spreader is plumbed right into the same system. Could you suggest another area where I could draw hydrauic oil. I had this one installed at the caseih dealership because I did not want to tap into anything that would interfere with thrashing capacity. I should have the wind deflection unit from Future Farming Solutions on Monday. If it performs as claimed, the chaff will actually get distributed by the origional spreaders, and there will not be a need for this after market setup and I will remove it. I will keep you informed.

That chaff spreader mentioned monday works very well. We ran 2 combines for years, one with a Kirby chaff spreader and the other with my own version of the before mentioned spreaders. You couldn't see any difference in spread and the Kirby was poorer is tough straw. I like the fact that it takes no more horsepower than origional. Make sure you lower your spreaders to catch more material. I did this by buying 7_8" hex shaft and cutting right side 4" longer and left 12" longer than factory. Good luck.
