Combines 1020 1 5 knives not cutting right in Wheat

Check the hold down clip gap and make sure the sections and guards are razer sharp. I do this before every summer and it cuts great.

Hi Bill...I think probably the hold down clips are too loose as we found they must have quite close fit to cut nicely...used the 1.5 for one season then went back to 3 in and feel for our use that works much better

Have you started wheat harvestIJIJ Is the wheat very goodIJIJ We are north of Ft Worth about 50 miles. Some neighbors cut high moisture barley , but the wheat is still a couple of weeks from ready. WW

The guys are right. The hod downs have to be adjusted so the sickle is held down at all times against guards. Some 1020s only had 1_2 the hold downs as other ones do. Check with dealer.

I think with a recipirocating unit, the 3" knives cut wheat cleaner. HCC, Inc. will have cooperators using three RAZER prototype headers in the last part of June.
