i have used the 1.5 in. knives for the last 2 years. the only problem i seen is when cutting beans no-tilled into corn stalks. it seems like if there is a bean right behind a stalk, the knife would push the stalk over and not cut the bean off. i'm switching to 3in knives this year because of that. i would probably keep them otherwise
