Combines 1020 on 1460 attn Dave

Have you adjusted the potentiometerIJ

yes I have adj. potentiometer,turned it some and shortened rod. I can over ride spring with a wrench and head will raise and lower,but if I hold head up 2 or 3 inches from bottom with wrench, height control knob will not raise or lower head. I wanted to know if wiring connection was right before before trying more adjustments. Bob

If your 1020 came off a 21 or 23 series combine you have to change the potentiometer.

dealer put wires in correct order on combine connection and now everything seems to work ok.
