Combines 1063 gear box

It seems like that is the seal that starts leaking first on the gear boxes. Depending on how many acres you go over with the head, in a year or two a couple more gear boxes will be leaking the same place. On mine when I had four out of the six boxes leaking I made a winter project out of it and tore it all down to the frame, took the gear boxes all apart and replaced all the seals. In the mean time check the oil every day when you're harvesting because you do not want to run one dry and ruin the gear box.

Same thing happened to my 1083, started leaking oil.The bearings were starting to fail and took the seal out.So check the bearings also.

I had the same problem its the seal under the gathering chain drive sprocket, these gearboxes build pressure inside. when the seals get old they start leaking, and its the top seals that seem to leak, i never understood this. on one of my heads i replaced the top seals, not to bad of a job. on my other head i drilled breather holes and ran a rubber hose up the back side of header. this also worked for me.
