RAB, Your corn head should work just fine if you set the new knives and stipper plates to the book specks. I have never replaced those v peaces on mine. I have wondered what will happen when they are worn clear off. K.A.
I assume that you are talking about the "knockoff" irons at the back of the row. After alot of wear you will notice that small ears will get wedged and create some unwanted shelling and poor feeding. They can be replaced by just welding the new one over the old piece.

Thanks for the help guys. Mine are about 40% worn down. I'm going to try them the way they are but if they give any trouble with the smaller ears I'll replace them. Russell
