The hydraulic deck plates should operate off the reel fore and aft circuit on the combine. If you don't have this option on the combine, you'll need to add it. You'll need whatever ends for hoses that it takes to match this circuit on the combine. If you don't already have them, you'll need weights and maybe even fluid in the rear tires. These are heavy heads. As for 3rd lift, I'd think you'd need it, but as to other than CIH parts, I have no knowledge. HTH

You need the third lift cylinder. Case has a kit available, price is not out of line. You'll have to do some welding, plumb the 3rd cyl into the lift system with a tee fitting. without it you'll be lucky to get the hd. a foot off the ground. We built a 12 row last season using 1000 series row units which are lighter than the 2200 units and we couldn't get the head high enough to put it on the header trailer. With the 3rd cyl., everything worked well. BE SURE you use a safety stand on both cylinders. Read on this talk show a couple yrs ago of a failure where only one was used and the header came down when one of the hyd fittings broke, the one safety device just wasn't enough. With the two, laying side by side, they lift together and aren't that much heavier. We have 16.9x 26 rubber on the back filled with fluid and 800n of cast iron, worked well. Ours was a 03 model, the 04s have the brackets installed and if the 3rd cyl is needed, no welding required, just plumb in the extra cyl. Sorry to go so long.

I had one on my 98 you need plenty of weight!! 3 cyl, new belts and a dam good tightener on the header drive. change the oil to syntheic in the front gear box. and change the programing in the a post to a 3cyl makes the header work better. you'll love the 2200 head a lot better than a 1000 series

We have been running a John Deere 1293 head on a 2388 for 4 years now. There are several in this area.We put two extra cylinders in and plumbed them in with the other two.We made our own brackets and added 9 frt Magnum weights to the rear with fluid in the tires.
