You might want to look into a few places that will take two six row heads and make you a twelve out of them.

We are considering same thing-12 row head on 2188. You will need to: Install 3rd lift cylinder on your feeder house, reinforce your main drive axle, install 4 groove feeder house drive pulleys, fill your rear tires with fluid and - maybe, add weight brackets and weights on your rear axle. We may just go ahead and trade for used 12 row ready 2388. bobrobert

we bought a 1680 this fall and ran a 6 row deere head with bish adapter, we could drive over 6 mph, so this winter we purchased four 4 row deere heads and bought a frame kit from brad bish to make our own twelve row. total $ around 12000 that includes bringing old parts to new quality.

You may want to look at a combine that was made for 12 row heads. 480_485, R72, 9750_9650.

Probably not much more money after you listen to the list of add ons you have to patch on just to go 12 rows. Buy another color and you won't have to shell out bucks for one of them fancy sattelite dishes on your grain tank. The only place you can find big sattelite dishes is outside a trailer in Arkansas or on any Case Combine. Case has a great 8 row machine, but it's not ready for 12 rows.

Mike, there is alot of people here that will disagree with you. I think those cat bin extensions look alot more stupid than the big tops.

What Modifications did you have to make to the combine, i.e. third lift cylinder, 4 groove drive pulley, main axle, or other.

All I did was turn up the pressure on the lift 2 turns. And I put fliud in the rear tires. left the 3 groove drive pulley on
