The engine has developed a nasty knock and I am weighing my options. Repair, replace engine or trade combines. I know my machine isn't worth much with a bad engine. I might buy a similar machine and use mine for parts.

I have a 414 engine that would bolt right in your 1440. It is in a low profile 815 know. The engine is real good shape and ready to go. The price on the engine would be $1500. I live in eastern Ia. E-mail me if you have any questions.
