Have run nothing but large wire (Harvest brand)concaves for years in everything from flax to wheat to peas. You need to use cover plates to cover the front of the concave to make them work with small seeds. We use 0 coverplates for corn,soybean,sunflower or peas. 1 for oats 3 for Wheat,barley or flax. Check out Gorden cover plates in the attachments button at left. I don't miss the dirty job of changing concaves twice per season, cover plates are in or out in 10 min.
