Combines 1440 drive tires jerk slow speed

Check the couplers on the drive jackshafts for wear which will allow a rocking motion at slow speeds.Seems strange that both finals would fail at the same time so do you notice a pull to one side or the otherIJ Might want to jack her up and spin each side by hand to see if you can hear or feel any binding.

seems to be the same on both sides, must be in hydro or transIJIJIJ could it be a relief valve in hydroIJ

percentage wise, take couplers off both sides and run hydro. probably bearing going out of transmission. 1440 are known for throwing oil out of tran. and then taking bearings.

what couplersIJ are you talking about the couplers between hydro motor and trans. and between pump and ptoIJ

between the tran. and final drives. you can remove shafts and inspect couplers. and run hydro and see if you can tell anything.

i took couplers off and they looked good,ran hydro and trans. made no noisesIJ drained fluid out of trans ,had some very light shavings. left final drive had no shavings, rt final had very light shavingsIJ any suggestions appreciatedIJIJIJ this 1440 is 1984, i have a 1978 or 1979 parts 1440 will final drives interchange, they look the same but with different brake assembliesIJ are gear ratios the sameIJ

final drives are the same in 1440's .ratio's that is . grease couplers up good when you put them back on.
