Check auger finger timing on header. I had my header for a full year before I noticed. If fingers are on their outsroke in front of feederhouse it will pick material up before chain get's a chance to pull it up feederhouse. Easily adjusted on the side where the wobble box is. Also check feederhouse chain measurement in relation to front of feeder housing. Hope this helps.

We bought a used combine that sat over the winter at the dealer outside and the federhouse floor was rusty. Untill we ran a wire brush on the grinder across it, it would'nt hardly feed. After 50 acres it was good and slick and works great. Jake

Correction, I believe you adjust the fingers on the right hand side of header. JWK

My feeder used to plug three times in 80 rods. I took apart the feederhouse slip clutch on the right hand side during a preseason check, and compared it with a new one. My clutch dogs were shot. Installed new ones, tightened to specs, and man what an improvement! Auger finger timing is a key player as well
