Combines 1440 Hydro

Check the pulley that drive the Aux. hyd. pump. If it turns a little or seems loose, the problem is inside the pto housing mounted on the engine-meaning the gears, clutches, etc.. are worn and needs replacing. My dealer charged me about $2000 for the rebuild job. They have to take the side panels off to get to the pto housing, and take it to the shop. Otherwise, it could be in the hydro pump or motor.

Have you checked your HYD oil levelIJ Have you changed the HYD oil filter, which is located in the resevor. 2 things I would look at. How many hours on your machineIJ JWK

oil level is fine changed filter and combine has 4600 hrs but pump and motor were new about700 hrs ago and combine had sat inside for 2 yrs without being used I bought it last summer and the guy that had it saie when he backed it out of the shed last yr he noticed that it shuddered It pulls good but if you get inching up to a bad spot in a swath it just shudders but when you push the hydro lever further it takes off real good.It might be some valve sticking open I just don't know. thanks
