Combines 1440 pops out of 3rd gear going down hill

i have saw it happen on a 1460. the weight of the control linkage eventually kicks it out of gear. take controls off and feel the detents by pulling on shaft. i changed the detent ball to one size under. never done it again. control cable may not be lined up exactly also.

Swede, when you say you tried the detents have you added to, (extra spring) or increased the spring tension on the detentsIJ I agree with iaremec on the cable weight pushing it out of gear.

The dealer has worked on the detents.I don't know what they have done exactly.
