if i remember right you take the seat out then the floor plate comes out to get to it .hole should already be there.

To be honest with ya i wouldnt even waste your time repairing that brake system it isnt woth the money and they dont last just my experience, its always something

Useing the hydo to stop is very hard on the drives and the machine. First thing I repared on my 1440 was the brakes and it is a pain to do. Rust ruins the system so when you rebuild the master cylinder use a silicone based fluid and bleed the system once a year to clear the moisture that collects. Pull the seat, floorplate (I pulled the pedal asembly, mistake, I think) to get to it.Also check the lines to the wheel cylinders as mine had holes rubbed in them from vibration. i usually hone thw slave cylinders then put a expansion plug in the bottom of it. then put new rubber in the top. loosen up all linkage. holds for quite a few years. brakes are still lousy though. you can put new slave cylinders on ,next year it will be drained of fluid also.
