Yes it can. A neighbor ran one that way for years till they went to a 1688. THey had an 8row planter. The really limiting factor was the hopper. In long rows they would just take 6 instead. It would really eat the corn.

ran a 1460 and 8rn head for 3 years speed was 3 to 3.5 mph in 135b corn only complaint grain tank

I ran a 883 for years with my 1460 the only problems i had was in 180+ bushel corn with 20%+ moisture the clean grain would plug when the bin was getting full, other than that I could run 3.0-3.5 mph and get along just fine.

make sure you got the higher speed elevator drive first then you will be ok
