Rodger, Take the right side pannel off the cab and remove the plate from the floor, that will give you limited access to the shaft. About all you can do through that hole is squirt some lube on it, bang and pry. I did that to my 1460 every few days for a month and it's still stuck. I can't figure why that shaft gets frozen so tight. The manual shows plastic bushings, so it must not be a tight fit. A Case mechanic told me they use a torch to free them up, but I'm afraid to try that in that area. Also that would melt the plastic bushing and I might still end up having to remove the shaft to replace them. It looks like a difficult job to remove the shaft, might have to take the seat and floor out to get access. Another Case mechanic said they are not worth fixing because you can't stop them from leaking fluid. I would still like to have brakes if anyone knows a fix.
