Combines 16 5ft 820 on a 715

We used to run a 715, before i traded up to a rotor, We ran a 15ft 820 head,, in wheat an milo it was all right, But harvesting soybeans if you raise any will just overwork the whole machine,, I would advise 15ft table maximum,,If you raise high yeilding crops, 13ft would be even better

ran a 715 for 10 years. started with a 13' 810 and then went to a 15' 1020 head. the 1020 head is now on my 1620. i too would stay with the 15' head vs the 16.5. at worst you might not be able to take a full cut with the 16.5 in tough conditions. good luck! Duane

I would stay away from the 16.5', I think a 15' is about the most you are going to want in front of a 715. I run a 15' on mine and think it is plenty for it. It depends on what you are going to do with it, if you are harvesting 6 wide rows of beans it may work but i wouldn't combine drilled beans, way too much material for the machine.
