Combines 1640 A C not working

Had this problem few years ago rebuilt pump flushed system refilled system work like a charm till next year (waste of money) Then i changed to rotory pump flushed system recharged with 135 upgrade to new conectors (can't remmeber what they are called in AC systems but the charge connections) and been working flawlessly for 3 years

Roger: It may just be low on R12. I know it's expensive, but if it just takes a can or two it may be good for a few more years. My experiance is R12 is hard to beat. I have one tractor left on it I add a can every two years. Only problem is my old suppy of R12 is dwindling.

We have had that problem when the gas level drops a bit, I don't endorse this but you can press the valve with a screwdriver to see if there is gas there, if there is you can cut the wire in the roof which makes the light come on as a quick fix. I think its a blue one at the right rear of the roof hatch. There must be gas in there or the pump will seize up! You could convert to the new gas, our man flushed out the system, vaccumed it then put an aerosol of somthing in, finally the new gas, works well!!
