Combines 1644 feedback

1644

Hi, I think the only difference in 1644s is that the early ones have light final drives and transmissions. We have a 94 model with the light finals and transmission and so far the only thing that has happened since we have had this machine is that I broke both drive shafts between the transmission and the final drives. Other than that this machine has been excellent with very little down time. We run a 1063 corn head and a 1020 20' flex head. The 5.9 Cummins engine is really good, I think it is rated at 185 HP It will handle 180 BPA 18% moisture corn at 3.5 to 4 MPH It does come up a little short on power in green stemmed soybeans 2.5 to 3.5 MPH. We have about 2400 Hours on our 1644 and am planning on running it for many more, IMO great machine...
