Your testing the waters of both colours,there is not much diff. What ever works for you (ie - your closest dealer).

I would say the 8820 would have way more capacity than the 1644!

No contest the 8820 hands down!!!!!!! 8820: '79-'88 200-225hp. 222bushel grain tank. 1644:'93-IJ 180hp. 145 bushel grain tank. 1644 is much newer but smaller, the 1680 ('86-'92)is a good size comarison to the 8820
