Combines 1660 capacity

Here is a bit of the Pami test done on a 1666 some years ago in wheat, barley and canola_rapeseed. I think the reference combine is a Deere 7720 or some version of the 77xx. MOG is material other than grain. Capacity: In the capacity tests, the MOG feedrate* at 3% total grain loss in Manley and 1602 barley was 765 lb_min (20.8 t_h) and 660 lb_min (18.0 t_h),respectively. The MOG feedrate at power limit (1.5% total loss) was 800 lb_min (21.8 t_h) in Hero rapeseed. Combine capacity was 660 lb_min (18.0 t_h),705 lb_min (19.2 t_h),and 700 lb_min (19.1 t_h) in Biggar, Katepwa, and laura wheat respectively. In the Manley and 1602 barley, the Case IH 1666 had respectively 1.5 and 1.6 times the capacity of the PAMI Reference II combine when compared at 3% total grain loss. The capacity in Hero rapeseed at power limit was the same as the Reference II at 1% total loss. In the wheat tests, the capacity of the Case 1666 was 0.4, 1.3, and 1.2 times that of the Reference II in the Biggar, Katepwa, and laura crops.

I have been doing spring wheat with a 1680. 75bu. wheat to the acre. Concaves at 1 and 1_2, rotor at 800, fan at 1050, with a air foil chaffer and sieve open about 3_8. Works great.

Thanks, I am definitely in the ballpark, a little shy but I dont throw out very much. I find that once I run the rotor down too low, the combine starts too really pail out the grain.
