You need to tilt the feederhouse rearward to bring the guard points up to parallel. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer. The Case dealer seemed to think I needed the front tilted forward so it forced the head to pivot more at the center (between the sickle and front floor and the auger bed). However, that did not seem to work.

If you tilt it to far back the back side of the head may want to drag. But you will find the sweet spot in between.

I usually get the combine grain tank 1_2 full, go out into the field, take a carpenter's angle compass ( used to figure pitches on roofs). It has a magnetic base which you put on the back side of the header and tilt your scoop so you get 10 degrees of tilt. That should work for various field conditions.
