Slow down the rotor. You may be surprised at how slow you need to run on dry corn not to get damage. Have run as slow as 350 rpm on the 60 size and as high as 650 loaded.

If I remember right, I was running right around 300 most of the year, the corn was at 18%. Do you think I was getting to much tailings, and sending it back through the rotorIJ

What concaves are you running and do you have some wires removedIJ What condition were the cobs after going through and did you have the sieve closed down to keep cob bits out of the binIJ Are elevator chains and sprockets in good shape and tightIJ Its possible the tailings were too heavy ,but would suspect that would show up more as grain loss out the back. We had some late planted corn last year that was still not blackline at frost that was unusually soft when it finally did dry down to harvestable levels which also had more than normal fines. Do you think the corn itself played a role in your situationIJ
