Combines 1660 HEADER HYD PROBlEMS

I had similar problems with leaking down on a 1460. I had the header control valve rebuilt and it still does it. My lift cylinders seem to be O.K. so I asked my service man about it. He said that with age a lot of these machines will do that and really didn't have a good answer why other than "It's something you'll have to live with."

I believe your problem is in your header lift valve. Its hard to describe what to do on the computer but any reputable Case-IH dealer would have a combine man who has been into these valves and find your problem. Good luck.
