Tiny, I believe that 2400 hours is not considered a large amount of hours for that size of machine. To answer you question, we need more information to give you a good answer!!!

look for play in the steering joints.

I bought an 87 1660 with 2700 hours on it and both the variable speed drive and the hydraulic pump drive belts were worn. The rotor would not reach full speed (belt too narrow) and the pump belt just broke. The reverser motor might need to be removed and cleaned up if you have trouble engaging it. Other than these minor things you should be ready to go.
