Are you refering to the right angle gear box up in the elbow. I replaced it on my 1660 back in 2001. Old gear box was pulled out the top....Mechanic at shop told us to install the new one from the bottom. This required to remove the elbow and other attachments. Price was just over $700 I believe. JWK
