I have thought of doing that to my 1991 1660 . According to my parts book the last year of 1660 production (1992)has the slower gears in it like the later models , checked everything out and everything in the gear box is the same except for the gears . The 92's and later models have a different hydraulic system , I was wondering if slowing the engine down will have any effect on the hydraulice and the hydro-trans operation , the hydraulics are not that great anyway on these older models . Also check my post below about oil consumption , any ideas IJ Thanks .
