I would suggest that you check your vains over the back end of the rotor. I have heard of this problem and when all 6 new vains were replaced the breakage was gone. JWK

Also, make sure the vanes are in the position to move trash through the quickest. Might also want to open the concave a bit for more ear on ear thrashing and slow down rotor speed slightly to keep machine loaded .

We have similar problems with an R-50, as do neighbours running New Hollands and Cases . We all encounter the problem when running in white cob corn.Seems white cob varieties have a softer cob which is prone to breaking as it flows through.In certain conditions weve found it benefitial to speed up the rotor. This increases the centrifugal forces and helps propel those small cob peices out of the cage area.In other instances opening up the sieves a bit helps. I must note we've always found increased breakage with reduced rotor speeds( maybe the cobs tumble more instead of rollinIJIJIJ) If your problem is in white cobbed corn my sympathies are with you as all makes and models in our area are having problems . If your problem is caused by something else Im afraid I wont be much help as I know next to nothing about set up in a Case
