Combines 1680 concaves

Duncan, When I cut corn and soybeans I have every other wire out of all the concaves. I think you would hurt the corn havesting more than you would help the bean harvest by putting the wires back in. Can you close your shoe just a tad to get those pods outIJ K.A.

I run with every other wire out of the front concave and front 1_2 of 2nd concave. If need be in beans, I sometimes run one cover plate on the front 1_2 of the front concave.

I have installed 3 cover plates...2 on the front concave and 1 to cover the front of the second concave and this helps thresh out soybeans better. The cover plates are from Mr. Gordon. The first thing that you need to do is thresh the pods and second is to seperate the beans front the trash. Removal of the plates takes only a couple of minutes. JWK
