Sorry, I can't help with the year but the "E"on the serial no means European spec. Case used to assemble all the Euro spec 40_60 combines at their plant at Anger in france - I believe all the 80's were built in the USA and shipped to France ready built. The 1030 European header is actually a Dronningborg (M_F) header adapted to the axial flow feeder, it's a good header Ive got a 20 foot on my 2188.

A lot of the E spec combines have the year of manufacture either on the plate or stamped on chassis. Both located on right side just in front of rear axle
