The best way to find out the differences would be check with your local Cummins distributer. I think the motor would fit for length, but you might have to redesign the hood. Also the radiator probably is not large enough.The drive on the combine is another thing to think about, will it stand up to the higher stress load. Some people around here have put on propane assist to get a constant 20-30 hp boost

you use the same parts as automotive propane changeovers. figure out a tank that will fit where you want to put it, then get an adjustable regulator for 5-20 psi with and oil pressure shutoff required in most places. The hose from this you install in the air intake pipe BEFORE the turbo charger. This mixes the gas with the air.15 psi of propane is about 20 hp, also your diesel consumption will go down.A pyrometer is another thing which is good to install to watch exhaust temp. The only problem is with cheap propane, as it contains to much butane which will not evaporate on a cold morning or night and will go into your engine in liquid form.your engine will sound as if you are putting slugs of wet straw through it. We have used these on highway tractors hauling equipment to Alaska for years.
