Combines 1680 long seive too bigIJ

The axial flow will be fine. You will be able to cruise through the windrow. You will be able to bale the straw.

My 1688 is 13'6" outside the front tires. Don't do much windrow stuff anymore but a 15' canola windrow is the minimum. I find the small windrows do not put enough crop into the combine to load the shoe properly and grain loss is higher.

I have a 1680 long seive machine. This is to big a machine for your needs. In a 60 bushel wheat crop cut with a 22' swather I must go 5.5 to 6.5 mph,or as fast as second gear will go.Then the issue is being able to grab it with your pick up at these speeds. There is no way you can keep this machine full with a 12 foot swath. You would be better with a 1660 or a 1640. If you have the right round baler you can bale the straw. large or small squares don't seem to have any problems.

Around here I have seen people run two pickup heads on beans to keep the machine full. I don't see why that wouldn't work to keep an 80 full on 12' rows for you also. If you can't find a 40 or 60, that would be an option with your small windrows. Jake
