Do you have ice forming any where on the lines or on the evaperator.And did you pull a vac. on the system when you changed compressor.

No, there is no ice forming anywhere. I had local case-ih dealer replace compressor as I was busy swathing canola. Don't know if he vaccumed system, but he did manage to drop roof lid off top of combine and mash it up. Took about an hour to pound back in shape. I wonder if when the compressor failed it didn't load the system up with crap and this is causing my problemsIJ Have roof lid off and there are no apparent leaks and everythings clean. However, it doesn't look like the receiver_dryer was replaced in the initial conversion. Don't know if any of these bits of info help, I guess I'm grasping at straws.

While I'm no expert on A_C systems, I do know a few things. 1. When converting from R-12 to R-134a the receiver_drier needs to be changed as well as does the system oil. Some seals will not tolerate this change either. 2. With system pressures you describe, (if your guages are accurate) there is little or no refrigerant in that system. What are the static pressuresIJ They should be at least 90 (and probably more) on both sides on a 90 degree day. 3. The dealership who damaged your cab roof should be liable for repairing the damage completely or replacing the roof. HTH

It sounds like you're losing 134a via a small leak. If the compressor has the retrofit guage fittings installed check those first. I've had about 3 sets of those leak because they were either improperly installed or the core wasn't tight. The reciver dryer should have been changed in the swich if it wasn't now would be the time you might also think about a expansion valve. Good luck, keep us in the loop Dean

Thanks to all. I don't know exactly when I'm going to get back to it as I,m busy with other things right now. Maybe towards the end of the week. I think a receiver_dryer and possibly an expansion valve are needed. Can't for the life of me find a leak. Sprayed all the connections around the compressor and on top of cab with soap solution and was unable to detect anything. I'll let everyone know the final solution when it presents itself.
