I recently pulled an auger bed out of a 2188. not a fun job. and very time consuming. a new one for this machine was 1300.00 so i had one made by a friend who has a fab shop. had him make it alittle heavier also. If you're pretty mechanically inclined and have patience you could do this. but be prepared to disassemble some things you wouldn't even think of.

hey thanx for the advice, we know it is a good job to take the pan out, and we were wondering if it comes out the front or the back of the machine. How much did u pay to have one made cause that is the same price case quoted us. my email is yazoo_redneck@yahoo.com thanx in advance

that pan comes out the back. You must take out both sieves and remove several other obstacles. Seems like it cost me about 300.00 for a new one, but then again this is a old friend of mine so he may have gave me a break. One of the most important things I recall was to remove the small piece of channel that the shaker shaft arm connects to. once I got the old one out, the new one went in easy. just took time to take everything apart.
