How much return are you runningIJ Does the return elevator plug up when you shut the lower sieveIJ Have someone kick the return elevator open with the machine fully loaded and see what it looks like. If you are getting the heads fully threshed and the return is just chaff, there is a quick and easy fix at this website. http:__www.futurefarmingsolutions.com_ Until you can get the deflector installed, you can help the situation by figuring out a way to close or cover up the first foot of the top chaffer seive. You might also try to cover up about a foot of the front of the lower seive. Your just trying to get the flow through both seives even from front to rear. It gets discussed pretty well at this website. With the deflector installed we always run the fan at full speed, regardless of the crop, to keep all of the residue floating out the back.

Have the factory spreader and put on the tall paddles raised the the pan 2" like in instructions wondering if it could still create enough air movement to screw up the air flow

I'm not sure I follow you. Do you mean the factory fan that came out before the crossflow fanIJ Then you put on a kit to up the air flowIJ If so, it probably still has the same problem. Basically a big jet of air comes up from the bottom of the fan housing and blasts into the front of the seives. The deflector forces the air back to the rear of the seive. If you get the deflector you will probably want to remove the fan kit to get back to factory stock, but you might find that just adding the deflector will cure your problems. Would be interested to hear how it works out if you try it.
