I ran at 2 on the concave indicator, 800 rotor, and fan as fast as it goes. 1_4 on bottom seive. This is running a new large wire concave with cover plates on the front half. last year on the worn concave I had to run the rotor at full speed and still had some unthreshed hulls. I leave my vanes fully retarded since I don't have much wheat. It would be fun to see how much capacity it would gain by advancing the vanes. Thats my one gripe about Axial Flow's, changing the vane settings are a pain. Oh yeah, I have have been running a 1688 for two years and I think you will like yours! CW
