Yes, the 820 will fit the 1688. Pretty much all headers in the IH line will interchange. The only thing about your cutting wheat with the 20' is how good is the wheat yield. If you're not too pushed for time in the wheat, the 20' will work fine. You may just have to run the machine at a slightly less than full capacity. I'd think you'd handle a 30' good unless you have really tough wheat or something. We push a 24' on 1480 and get along real good, max out the sickle in 50 bu wheat. You ought to be a bolt to find a 30' 810 or 1010 (ridgid) pretty cheap. Chads
