Could be the electric fuel pump going bad. It is not putting out enough pressure. Also, check the air breather pipe between the precleaner and the air filter - the pipe in the hopper. We have had this thing plug up with small sticks. She will not get enough air flow to run right.

It sounds like the vacuum in the tank may be the problem. Check that breather again and be sure that it will allow enough air through to keep up with the demand. There shouldn't be any vacuum on the tank at all.

I can't believe noone mentioned this, but your fuel tank has a screen inside it just above the fuel sediment bowl. You have to pull the bowl clear off and then pull out the plastic pencil screen. This gave me fits for a while then I finally pulled it out. Works fine without it now.

You were right, $25.00 replacement breather took care of the problem, thanks! To be safe, we also changed fuel filters plus drained and flushed the fuel tank.
